About the BeST Programme 2.0

The BeST Programme 2.0 is designed to develop Malaysia’s talent pipeline in the biotechnology and bio-based industries by equipping graduates with industry-ready skills and leadership experience.

Key highlights of the programme:

  • Purpose: To prepare graduates with technical expertise and leadership skills for a competent, adaptive workforce in biotechnology.

  • Participants: Open to Malaysian citizens with diplomas, bachelor’s, master’s, or Ph.D. degrees in relevant fields and less than two years of work experience.

  • Structure: Participants undergo intensive training at the BioAcademy, followed by work placements with host companies such as MYmAb Biologics.

  • Impact: The programme has demonstrated impressive outcomes, with 91% of participants securing employment in the biotechnology and bio-based sectors since its inception.

With more than 200 biotechnology and bio-based companies serving as host employers, the programme has become one of Malaysia’s leading initiatives for bridging academia and industry.
